Metal Gear Survive to Get its Gameplay Debut at TGS 2016

Prepare for the FOX engine beauty.

Konami will be having a presence at Tokyo Game Show 2016 after all, and they’ll be bringing Metal Gear Survive with them. As announced on the company’s official page, the game has been listed as part of its lineup, and there will be a stage event for the title on September 17.

For the uninitiated, Metal Gear Survive takes place right after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. After Mother Base is destroyed, surviving members of the MSF are transported to another universe via a mysterious wormhole. The members are then forced to fight zombies in that new universe. Survive will utilize the FOX engine, meaning the game will be super pretty, and will feature four player stealth co-op gameplay. It sounds like Metal Gear Online, but with zombies.

Metal Gear Survive was initially revealed at Gamescom this year, and it has been slated for a 2017 release. The game will be coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
