Destiny: Rise of Iron – How Much it Costs

Destiny: Rise of Iron is the brand new expansion for Bungie’s shared-world shooter, and it goes live on Sept. 20. It’s a premium expansion and not just an update, so that means you’re going to have to cough up a little bit of cash to get in on the action. The cost of Rise of Iron can vary, as there are three ways you can purchase the expansion:

Recommended Videos

DLC Alone – If you already have Destiny and all of the expansions, Rise of Iron will cost you $30.

Destiny: The Collection – For $59.99 you can purchase the complete experience that includes the base game and all four major expansions.

Destiny: The Collection Upgrade – If you own Destiny: The Taken King on PS3 or Xbox 360, you can purchase this bundle. This upgrade gives you The Collection for a discounted price of $39.99 for either the PS4 or the Xbox One, but you must upgrade within the same family of consoles, so no jumping from PS3 to Xbox One if you want the discount.

Whichever way you purchase the new expansion, you’ll get access to all of the new content including the story, Strikes, new raid, and other goodies. If you purchase prior to Sept. 20, you can also get the Iron Gjallarhorn and the Iron Gjallarwing pre-order bonuses.

Safe travels, Guardians.
