Koei Tecmo has released some new gameplay details for Berserk and the Band of the Hawk, and they’ve provided more specifics on what we can expect from the game in terms of game modes, character leveling, and in-game collectibles.
First up, the Infinite Eclipse Mode is simply a game mode where you will be tasked with defeating an infinite number of enemies in a stage. Players will be given special missions and objectives in this mode, and while it wasn’t mentioned in Koei Tecmo’s notes, it’s possible that meeting these objectives could reward you with special items that help you strengthen your characters, or perhaps other types of collectibles as well.
Characters can be strengthened by leveling up their equipment. Just like past Omega Force games, you can gather materials to upgrade your gear, and also fuse certain items together to create a more powerful one. Finally, players will also be able to collect Behelits in the game. Behelits will unlock part of a special image which can only be fully viewed and inspected once you’ve acquired all the necessary Behelits to show it off.
Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is set to be released for the PS4, PS Vita, and PC on February 21, 2017.
