No Man’s Sky: How to Scan or Analyze Birds

No Man’s Sky is a massive space game, but that doesn’t mean it’s empty. Each planet has its own ecosystem, and you might come across one with an abundance of fauna. They’re a bit of a pain in the butt to deal with, within No Man’s Sky. You aren’t able to analyze them as they fly around the sky, unfortunately, so what are you left to do? That’s right, you have to shoot them down first. Don’t go for the Boltcaster while doing this, as it will make it harder to hit them. Like, much harder. Instead, use your mining tool to increase your odds of singeing them enough times to make them fall. Now it’s just a matter of finding their point of impact and analyzing their body.
