Mobius Final Fantasy Passes 1 Million Downloads

Square Enix’s newest Final Fantasy on mobile reaches over 1 million downloads.

Mobius Final Fantasy, since its release earlier this month, has been able to reach over 1 million downloads outside of Japan on iOS and Android platforms.

For those playing the game right now, Square Enix has recently given us details about a new patch, which improves gameplay features. Square Enix outlined in their press release:

  • Distilled magicite will no longer expire after 14 days.
  • Greater Ability Summon will be added to the Summon Cards lineup and will cost 3,000 magicite. The “Greater Ability Summon” will summon a set of six Ability Cards.
  • The Mobius Gift Box will now contain additional items. The full list of item is as follows:
    • Summon Ticket x 6
    • GrowStar x 1
    • Ability TIcket x 20
    • Elixir x 5
    • Phoenix Down x 5
    • Crystal x 5
    • Spirit Ticket x 1
    • Extranger x 1
    • Mog Amulet x 1

According to the Google Play Store, they have also fixed error codes 9 and 10, as well as a launch issue and crash issues while downloading with certain devices, so if you weren’t able to play the game before, check to see if it works now.

Mobius Final Fantasy is a completely new RPG in the franchise. Produced by Yoshinori Kitase (Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts) and written by Kazushige Nojima (Final Fantasy VII, X), this game tells the story of the many Warriors of Light who come across a land that is riddled with stopped winds, raging seas, and rotting earth. The game revolves around turn-based combat and includes character customization and continuous live events.

Mobius Final Fantasy is a free-to-play title on iOS and Android with micro-transactions. Have you checked the game out yet? If so, what do you think of this new Final Fantasy adventure? Let us know in the comments below.
