Gek – No Man’s Sky Wiki Guide

In No Man’s Sky you’ll come across many different alien species and even a few intelligent ones as well, including the lizard-like Gek alien race. The Gek is an alien race that is particularly interested in commerce, trade, and knowledge. While they may not be physically imposing, they make up for it in spades in cunning.

Throughout the game, you’ll be interacting with alien species like the Gek in space stations, on planets, and/or on trading posts. To get the most out of your interactions with them and increase your standing, you’ll need to “speak their language” so to say. That could mean literally, if you discover enough words via knowledge stones, space station interactions, or otherwise. That could also mean just getting to know their culture.

For the Gek, you need to remember that you’re dealing with an intelligent species that cares a lot about money. They are always out to get that paper erm.. space credits. They like to trade, so make sure that you take them up on their offers to do business whenever you can. They are easier to please than some of the other alien races that you’ll come across, and can be considered the easiest to befriend. Just don’t do anything that comes across as overly rash, keep cool, and just play ball with them and you should be fine.

The Gek are an ambitious bunch. They like money, and they like to trade resources. Engage with them on that kind of stuff and you’ll increase your standing and make some new intergalactic friends.

That’s the gist of how to increase your standing with the Gek in No Man’s Sky.
