Nintendo to Release Mini NES This November

That nostalgia!

Nintendo has made a very surprising announcement. The NES, which originally came out in the 80’s, will be returning to shops. Yes, you read that correctly.

Announced on Twitter, Nintendo is going to be releasing the NES Classic Edition on November 11. The mini NES will come bundled with 30 games and that classic NES controller.

The NES Classic Edition will run your only $60 and will plug right into your TV using an HDMI cable. The bundle of games will include classics such as Donkey Kong, Mario Bros, Metroid, and The Legend of Zelda.

The console will also come with the iconic NES controller which is designed to emulate the original pad. You will be able to buy another controller for $10 a pop and you’ll probably want to since some of the games will support multiplayer. You’ll also be impressed to learn that you’ll be able to plug the controller into your Wii or Wii U and use it to play Virtual Console NES games.

In a statement, Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Aime said: “We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo’s original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place.”
