Tonight at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel announced that Daredevil has been renewed for a third season on Netflix. Like with the upcoming series Luke Cage and Iron Fist, they did so with a trailer. It’s short, and we may not see our titular hero in action, but the sounds of fists landing indicate that Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock is still really, really bad at communication. And the subway. Spoiler alert for season two after the trailer.
The second season ended with Matt having revealed his secret identity to his assistant/ex-girlfriend Karen Page just hours after defeating the Hand and watching his old flame Elektra Natchios die. While he’ll be dealing the Hand during the crossover series The Defenders, they could still make an appearance. There’s also the return of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, who showed up midway through the season and gravelly told Matt that he’d do everything to make his life a living hell once he got out of prison. Never a dull moment when you’re a Marvel superhero, right?
Daredevil’s third season is said to be “coming soon”, so it’s a safe bet that it’ll be coming early next year. Stay tuned to Twinfinite for more San Diego Comic-Con news.
