Overwatch’s Ana Amari Has Clearly Watched Too Much Mad Max

I'm gonna die historic on the Fury Road!

So, Overwatch has been out for a little while. Naturally, due to its historic success, Blizzard has been pumping out ideas for new heroes, game modes, and maps to expand the experience and reward the deservedly strong fan base. And boy have they delivered.

The first of the new heroes to enter the fray was actually announced today, and her name is Ana Amari. She’s an Egyptian bounty hunter and a support sniper, who uses a biotic rifle to heal allies and impair foes. She also comes loaded with a biotic grenade which follows the same pattern as the rifle, and a sleep dart for neutralizing foes at close range.

While maintaining her ridiculously cool factor, she also seems to be a bit of a movie geek, with one of her voice lines being a reference to the famous chant uttered by the war boys in Mad Max: Fury Road. It’s great to see Blizzard throwing in easter eggs in Overwatch, and hopefully there’s many more to come!
