If you were hoping to receive more information about Crackdown 3 this week at E3, or at the very least, an explosive trailer, you’re not gonna like this. It turns out that the game (both halves; the story mode and the multiplayer that was intended to launch this summer) has been pushed into next year, as revealed by Reagent Games‘ creative director Dave Jones.
“As we continue to work on this, it has become clear that our original timeline of delivering multiplayer to fans this summer, while maintaining the size, scope and quality of the game, would be challenging.”
While the game has been delayed, it’ll also be an Xbox Anywhere title when it releases. So if you buy it for Xbox One or Windows 10, you’ll be able to play it across other Microsoft platforms. So there’s that, at least.
Due to the delay, Crackdown 3 wasn’t showed during the Microsoft presser, unfortunately.
