Every year, Tokyo Game Show receives a unique piece of artwork that they use to represent that year’s convention and theme. This year, the main visual was done up by artist Ippei Gyoubu. For 2016, the theme is as follows: “Entertainment is changing. The future is changing.” And Gyoubu’s artwork is meant to reflect that same theme of change. The girl featured in the main visual looks to be wearing some sort of VR headset, so perhaps that’s what the TGS committee means by ‘change’ in the games industry.
As this year also marks the 20th anniversary of Tokyo Game Show, a special logo has also been unveiled along with the main visual. Who knows? Maybe there’ll be a few special surprises at this year’s show for the 20th anniversary.
Tokyo Game Show 2016 will be taking place in Tokyo from September 15 to 18, with the first two days being business days, and the latter two being public days where everyone can attend. Will you be attending this year’s convention? Let us know in the comments down below.
