Doom is set to launch worldwide this Friday, and Amazon UK is looking to make it as awesome a launch as possible for some select Prime Members. From 10:00 PM (22:00) to 11:45 PM (23:45) BST the night before release, some UK gamers can elect to have their copy of Doom delivered to their door at midnight, or at least very close.
Offering two-hour delivery slots, Amazon Prime Now will give the option of midnight – 2:00 AM late night delivery, or early morning launch day delivery, starting at 8:00 AM and continuing in the two-hour intervals.
“It’s been well over a decade since the last big DOOM release and we want to make sure local fans get their hands on the latest edition of the game in super quick time with our midnight deliveries so they can head into single and multiplayer battles with fellow DOOM fans across the globe as soon as the game is available,” Jason Weston, Director of Amazon Prime Now in the UK explains.
Amazon Prime Now is a mobile app allowing Amazon Prime customers to order products with as little as one hour shipping. The special midnight delivery of Doom is available in London, Surrey, Berkshire, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle, Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
And if that wasn’t enough, Amazon is also offering food and drinks that can be delivered with the game. May the all-night demon slaughter begin.
