Insomniac, developer of Ratchet and Clank, has revealed two new games that are coming to Virtual Reality later this year.
The two games, Feral Rites and The Unspoken, were revealed on Insomniac’s website and will release in Fall 2016 and November 2016 respectively.
Insomniac describes Feral Rites as a ‘VR adventure-brawler’ in which the player will ‘avenge the death of your father by fighting your way through missions and quests.’ The announcement also outlines what players can expect from the game: ‘Set on a mystical island, explore unique areas of the island from jungles to temples, while mastering new abilities including the power to transform into a feral beast.’ A teaser trailer was released alongside the announcement.
Insomniac also revealed The Unspoken, which they describe as: ‘An Oculus Touch‐enabled VR action game that pulls players into a hidden world of spellcasting and magician’s duels. Manipulate the environment around you with the powerful arcane forces that flow through your fingertips, summon ghastly monstrosities with your bare hands, and rise up through the ranks of an urban magic fight club in supernatural PVP combat.’ A reveal trailer was also released for The Unspoken.
Feral Rites will be available on the Oculus Store in Fall 2016 and The Unspoken will be available in November. Insomniac also confirmed that both games will be playable at E3 in June.
