The fire will guide you!

Dark Souls III starts out as it intends to continue- giving you very little guidance and a boss battle to take on. Here’s where you should go once you’ve reached Firelink Shrine.

Following your triumph over Iudex Gundyr, you’ll find yourself in a large building known as Firelink Shrine. Here, you’ll find a number of NPCs chilling around the area, with some offering your goods to help you on your journey. The most important one you’ll want to speak to, however, is standing right near the center of the room by what looks like a bonfire. She is known as the Fire Keeper. Speak with her and she’ll tell you all about what you need to do on your grand adventure, including what you need to do next.

Once the conversation with her has finished, simply head over to the bonfire just next to her and place the Coiled Sword you received from defeating Iudex Gundyr into it. Do this, and you’ll create the Firelink Shrine bonfire.

All you have to do now is rest at the bonfire and use the Travel menu to move onto your next location, the High Wall of Lothric.

Carry on with your adventure brave one, the road ahead is fearsome. Be sure to check out our Dark Souls III wiki for more tips and tricks.
