Stardew Valley, the open-ended farming sim that has developed a cult following, has sold over half a million copies on Steam in less than three weeks on sale.
According to SteamSpy, Stardew Valley has sold at-least 527,148 copies, keeping it in the best sellers list since its release.
Speaking to PC Gamer last week about good early sales numbers, developer Eric Barone said: “I’m super happy about it and I’m blown away by the reaction, but I’m surprised too.” Publisher Chucklefish has also said: “We knew Stardew Valley was amazing (because a lot of us were already hopelessly addicted to it well before launch) and we knew people would love it, but we’re totally blown away by all of support and coverage Eric [Barone]’s received.’
