Square Enix has a host of big RPGs releasing this year, one of which is the next entry in the Star Ocean series. During a livestream today, the company showed off a few trailers for Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness.
The new trailer gives us a look at the role that the game’s main character Fidel will be playing, and a basic overview of the story. Here’s the trailer’s description of the game.
“At this point in history, between the second and third games in the series, the Pangalactic Federation is nearing the fulfillment of its mission to bring peace and order to the galaxy. However, the embers of conflict begin to stir once again six thousand light years from Earth, on the planet of Faykreed, as a new story begins in the cosmic sea. The latest game in the series, foreshadows an unknown menace headed for the underdeveloped planet of Faykreed, where Fidel Camuze, his childhood friend Miki Sauvester, and a mysterious young girl named Relia get drawn into a battle that may change the fate of the planet.”
Square Enix also announced during the stream that the game will have dual audio in both English and Japanese, with the ability to turn on English subtitles.
There’s no official release date for Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness yet, although the release window is summer 2016. Integrity and Faithlessness will be coming to PS4 and PS3, although the PS3 version recently received a delay in Japan. You can pre-order the game on Amazon now, here.
