It was confirmed earlier this year that rhythm game, Thumper, was coming to PlayStation 4 in 2016. Marc Flury from Drool, the studio developing Thumper, has released an update on the game via the PlayStation Blog.
He confirmed that the game will also be coming to PlayStation VR later this year. Making Thumper playable on PSVR was not initially a priority for Drool but Flury said that the game is ‘not only intense, it’s completely overwhelming’ on PSVR. They also released a new trailer alongside the announcement – you can see it below.
Drool describe their game as ‘a rhythm violence game’ in which ‘you are a space beetle hurtling towards a maniacal giant head.’ Marc Flury also wrote: ‘The gameplay and controls are stripped-down and simple, so it’s easy to pick up and play. We’ve worked hard to make Thumper accessible and fun for both hardcore rhythm gamers and more casual action game fans.’
Thumper will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR later in 2016.
