The crew that made Pillars of Eternity is back, but you’ll have to wait to find out why.
Paradox Interactive and Obsidian Entertainment teased a questionnaire entitled, “How’s Your Potential For Evil?” this morning. The quiz gives users a series of options to choose given certain (mostly negative) situations, and results in your “type” of evil at the end. What’s more intriguing, however, is the hint to an announcement that follows, giving a twitch channel and a date: March 15 at 5PM Pacific, the same time as the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco.
This is the second big announcement from Paradox Interactive this week, as the company just announced its intent to become a publicly-traded IPO. Some fans have expressed concern that this could affect the quality of their games, especially as Paradox looks poised to become one the more prolific publishers around. The fate of recently acquired titles, such as the beloved Vampire: The Masquerade series, have only increased concerns.
Still, the company assures its fans that both company employees and fans will have preferential access to purchase Paradox stocks.
With the Pillars of Eternity expansion pack “The White March Part II” having been released only a month prior to the announcement date, there’s still the big question as to what this announcement could be. Is it too soon for another Pillars of Eternity expansion? Will there be a new collaboration? We’ll have to wait to find out.
