Here’s The Division’s Character Creation in its Five Haircuts Glory

Here’s The Division’s Character Creation in its Five Haircuts Glory

Oh, joy.

I’m liking The Division a lot so far. It already feels like it has a lot more content at launch than Destiny did. But there’s one crucial aspect of The Division that is severely lacking. Yes, I’m talking about its atrociously limited character creation options. You can pick either a male or female character; it doesn’t matter – you’ll only be able to select from five different haircuts for them, and they don’t even look that great.

Below are some of the options for the female characters…

And before you ask, no, there’s no ‘long hair’ option. Below are some of the male presets you get to choose from…

Depending on which preset you go with, you’ll also get a slightly different set of five haircuts to choose from. Don’t get your hopes up though; the female ones are very bland, the male ones don’t get that much variety either. However, if you’re a tattoo fanatic, you’re in luck.

If you love neck tattoos, you’ll get to choose from a whopping 28 different tattoo designs. What? Why are there more tattoo designs than there are haircut and face options??? That’s seven times the number of haircuts available for your characters. I’d also like to add that there are far more warpaint and accessory options than haircuts, too. Clearly, Ubisoft didn’t think that hair would be a very important part of character creation for The Division. Oh, silly Ubisoft. It also doesn’t help that all of these premade characters look extremely sickly and on the verge to death.

Right now, I just can’t wait to get my first hat, or first face mask, or anything, to cover up the sickly grossness that is my character’s face. Dammit, Ubisoft. Even my Destiny Titan chick looks way better than these dudes, and I hide her face under a helmet all the time.
