Mark your calendar, the Battleborn open beta will begin on Apr. 8 for PS4, and Apr. 13 on Xbox One and PC. The beta will include two new story missions, two multiplayer modes (Incursion and Meltdown), every hero available, and a portion of the loot system which will be in the final game.
The story missions are the highlight of the upcoming beta. Gearbox say that the two missions will each take about an hour to complete. The story is playable solo, with 2-player splitscreen, or up to 5-player online. Once you have played each mission, Gearbox then urges you to play through them again with different heroes.
The beta’s progression system will let you rank up and unlock new heroes, skins, taunts, and Helix mutations. Check out the trailer for the story mode above, so you can catch up on the happenings before the beta goes live in early April.
