Via a post on their official website, Oculus VR has announced that pre-orders for the Oculus Rift will begin on Wednesday, January 6.
The blog post states that, ‘pre-orders for Rift will open on Oculus.com at 8am Pacific Time on January 6! We’ll be sharing everything you need to know to order your Rift on Wednesday when pre-orders go live.’ It is therefore safe to assume that information on pricing and a release date will be coming very soon.
Oculus also confirmed that each pre-order will be bundled with Playful’s game Lucky’s Tale, a made-for-VR platformer, and a copy of EVE: Valkyrie, the multiplayer space combat game from CCP games.
Also, Oculus founder Palmer Luckey will be holding a Q and A during a Reddit AMA on Wednesday at 6pm Pacific Time.
Will you be pre-ordering the Oculus Rift on Wednesday or will you be holding out for a different VR headset? Let us know in the comments.
