Oculus-Powered Rock Band VR Debuts At The Game Awards

Rocking out in virtual reality.

The Rock Band series has always excelled in making players feel like they’re part of a real band. Now, they’ve teamed up with Oculus to take that experience even further with Rock Band VR.

At The Game Awards, a skit featuring metal band DragonForce, Oculus Rift inventor Palmer Luckey and Harmonix developers showed off some early footage from Rock Band VR. The gameplay footage shows the game in first person. The video also serves as an early preview for “Through The Fire and Flames”, a notoriously difficult DragonForce song that will be added to the game in the future.

Rock Band VR will be released in 2016. Check out the links below for more of the major announcements from The Game Awards.
