Xbox Avatars to Get Wheelchair Options Soon

Wheelchair represent!

Microsoft’s Xbox has always allowed players to express themselves in the form of their online avatars. It looks like Xbox chief Phil Spencer, along with Mike Ybarra, have heard the pleas of their disabled fan base, and have announced that wheelchair options will be added to the console’s avatar customization soon.

Over on Twitter, Spencer replied to a fan’s tweet asking about wheelchairs, and said the team was already working on it. Ybarra also joined in the conversation, and gave us a quick sneak peek at how the wheelchair-bound avatars would look like. Quite honestly, they look pretty nice.

Microsoft hasn’t revealed anymore details about when the wheelchair options will be coming to the Xbox One, but it sure is nice to see the team taking into account the considerations of all portions of the Xbox fan base. We’ll keep you updated as more information comes our way.

What other options would you like to see included with the platform avatars? Let us know in the comments down below.
