Dr Who fans, rejoice. The Doctor is on his way!
The post is pretty obscure. As you can see there is little to go on but a single line of text and the mildly cross expression of a gray haired sackboy. But Dr. Who fans will recognize that angry mug for the face of the 12th Doctor, Peter Capaldi, who replaced the much beloved, Matt Smith. But some of you may not be so sure, as evidenced by the confusion voiced on the original announcement. It’s arguable that the expression on sackboy lacks a certain gravity that Capaldi’s expression holds in the image it tries to recreate.
Sackboy Peter Capaldi isn’t quite this imposing.
So the picture linked to the announcement doesn’t exactly give it away unless you have the very same image in mind, but the quote sets our inner geeks a glee as it rings a familiar bell. Late in the last season before his departure, Matt Smith can be heard saying, “Any moment now, he’s a-coming” to his partner. When asked, “Who’s coming?” Matt responds plainly, “The Doctor.”
What are you looking forward to most? Seeing how the TARDIS will be represented in the DLC? Or maybe you’re just excited to give your foes a Dalek makeover (which is perfect considering the enemy behavior patterns quite resemble those of the alien race)? Let us know in the comments below what you’re most excited about.
