Ah, what a time to be alive. It might be tougher now to find a AAA-game that doesn’t have some kind of day 1 DLC, season pass, or microtransaction shop. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is happy to oblige in those departments and offers fans a multitude of DLC (both free and paid) along with a currency you can buy called Helix.
What Helix does is let you directly purchase in-game upgrades that you would normally have to go out and get yourself. You know, the old fashioned way, also known as playing the game and grinding. If you ain’t got time for that, then Ubisoft has five different Helix Credit packs to choose from. So without further ado, let’s break down all of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s day 1 DLC offerings. Starting with its Season Pass.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Season Pass
- The Jack The Ripper Expansion
- The Exclusive A Long Night mission
- Two top-tier sets of gear and weapons
- The Last Maharaja mission pack
- A permanent XP boost
- 500 Helix Credit
- The Streets of London gameplay pack
The Dreadful Crimes
A PlayStation 4 exclusive pack containing 10 Dreadful Crimes story missions inspired by the famous penny-dreadful stories.
A DLC mission currently available to both PlayStation and Xbox fans. Here is its description via the PlayStation Store: “As a runaway train thunders through London at top speed, you must find and fix the train’s critical flaws before you run out of time – or railway tracks.”
Helix Credit Base Pack (500 Credits)
AC Syndicate’s smallest microtransaction currency pack.
Helix Credit Small Pack (1000 Credits)
If you have needs that the base pack can’t cover, but don’t want to go over the top, then Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s second smallest Helix pack is for you. It also comes with a bonus 200 credits, so I guess it’s really 1200. Why not just have it be 1200 Helix Credits then? That’s a mystery for another game.
Helix Credit Medium Pack (2000 Credits)
Medium. Not too small but also not extra large. Somewhere in-between. For all your moderate to medium Helix needs, go with this pack. Includes 1000 bonus Helix Credits.
Helix Credit Large Pack (3000 Credits)
Because you wouldn’t be caught dead buying puny small or base packs. Go with the Large Pack or go home. Also comes with 1800 bonus Helix Credits.
Helix Credit Extra-Large Pack (5000 Credits)
If this doesn’t buy you everything in the game then seriously WTF. It’s almost the price of AC Syndicate itself. Also comes with 4000 bonus credits, which is almost more in bonus than the Extra-Large Pack itself. I guess 4000 bonus Helix sounds sexier than just saying 9000 credits.
That’s all of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s Day 1 DLC! Have at it, Assassin’s Creed fans! Or don’t and just get stuff by playing the game. Your choice.
