May 22 2015- The Trials of Osiris Will Test Your Mettle

A new multiplayer event titled the Trial of Osiris launches shortly after the House of Wolves expansion. Its 3v3 elimination matches force players to bring their A-game as they vie for a visit to The Lighthouse, a location where only those who do not know defeat can visit.

June 12 2015- Skolas Shall Fall

When House of Wolves first came out, the Prison of Elders was no laughing matter (still isn’t, mostly). The final boss who rested at the end of the highest difficulty (Skolas) was damn near impossible to defeat. This forced Bungie’s hand in adjusting the powerful bullet sponge to make him a bit more manageable. With bullet sponges being a problem since the onset of the game, this was good for Bungie to acknowledge this flaw.

June 15 2015- Oryx is Coming

The Taken King Destiny Oryx

The Taken King is announced as the next huge expansion of Destiny and promises to change the game at its very core. There is a lot of controversy surrounding its price point and a few factors that kind of leave out veterans. Bungie will spend the next few months rectifying their mistakes.

July 7 2015- Stand Triumphant

Bungie unveils the Moments of Triumph, a list of challenges for players to earn a Year One emblem to show off to all the newbies when The Taken King launches. Filled with some of the most difficult activities in the game, the Moments of Triumph provide the ultimate bragging rights.

July 16 2015- Gjally NOOOO!

Bungie reveals that they are nerfing the Gjallarhorn, Thorn, and several other weapons to even the field for the future of Destiny. After much consideration and seeing the habits of the community at large, the weapons are changed once again (but at least Auto Rifles are good again, there’s always that).

Aug 4 2015- Bye Bye, Dinklebot

Ghost

It’s announced that our beloved Ghost will be receiving a new voice, one that is a seasoned veteran of the video game voice acting league. That new voice is none other than Nolan North.

Aug 14 2015- Gjally’s For All

Xur shows up with the gift of all gifts in tow; the mighty Gjallarhorn. Players flock to Destiny to in order to obtain one of the most coveted weapons in the game, while others make sure the world isn’t ending.

Sept 4 2015- Legal Battles

After a rather ugly legal battle with former Destiny composer Marty O’Donnell, Bungie loses for wrongful termination and must pay a hefty sum. But it’s a good thing to get this in the past so that they can move on and focus on the world they’re creating.

Sept 8 2015- Year Two Arrives

Destiny’s 2.0 patch releases and changes many aspects of the game. A new director for those planning their travels, a new voice for our little Ghosts, changes to vendors, and new quests all make their way into the experience in anticipation for The Taken King on the 15th.

Sept 15 2015- It Begins Again

Destiny: The Take King arrives and brings tons of new content, gear, and challenges to the guardians as they press on against the darkness.
