New Public Events – The Court of Oryx

Destiny: The Taken King Court of Oryx

During the September 2 Destiny Twitch live stream from Bungie, the Court of Oryx on the Dreadnaught was finally revealed to fans. If you didn’t catch the Destiny Twitch live stream from Bungie, you might be interested in knowing that the Court of Oryx is a new public event system for Destiny.

No longer do you have to wait around staring up at the sky, hoping that it will go dark and invite you to a public event. No more downloading public event apps on your phone and looking at websites on the internet to complete these missions.

After the release of Destiny: The Taken King, the Court of Oryx will allow players to use artifacts to activate these public events for themselves, which also allows players to plan ahead by bringing a fireteam. These new Court of Oryx public events are exciting because they increase in difficulty as they are completed, as the rewards that drop increase in value. At the highest difficulty, we expect to see raid level equipment dropping from the Court of Oryx, which is definitely something to look forward to.
