New Features Have Been Revealed for Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance

Curry, Research Squads, DLC, and more are coming.

NISA recently took to the PlayStation Blog to reveal some of the new features that will be coming to Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, as well as some information about the game’s DLC.

Starting with the new features, you will be able to boost your squad by visiting the Curry Shop and the Netherworld Editor in Seraphina pocket Netherworld. In the Curry Shop, you will be able to make a variety of curries, which can affect the squad’s stats for one battle. While most of these recipes are good, Tiffany Chin did warn on the PlayStation Blog that some of these curries “have a negative effect and are even poisonous!”

The Netherworld Editor meanwhile will allow you to create your own Netherworlds. These worlds can be summoned by other players. If they summon it,  then the effect of the summoned Netherworld will override the effect of the current world they’re on. This can be very useful if, for example, your fighting on a world with a negative effect.

Players will also be able to use members of their team that they’re not using in the new Netherworld Research Squad. When working in the Netherworld Research Squad, they will research and unlock brand new worlds, find rare items and level up. Along with finding items, you will be able to make new items with the games Alchemist feature, which will allow you to create items while you’re fighting. These powers can then be powered up by using innocents, which you will be able to store in The Innocent Shop. You will also be able to use The Innocent Shops Innocent Farm to breed more powerful innocents as well.

Tiffany Chin also revealed that NISA will be releasing five batches of DLC for the game. These DLC will allow you to take on and recruit characters from Disgaea 3, Disgaea 4 and Disgaea D2, as well as some characters from other games as well. Buying all of the DLC packs will unlock Pleinair as a playable characte, and there will be a Season Pass too.
