It was announced earlier this year that Uncharted 4 would be delayed to 2016. However, fans were comforted by the fact that Naughty Dog will be releasing Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection later this year.
The collection will include the first three Uncharted games, remastered in 1080p and running at 60fps with a photo-mode included. As if this wasn’t reason enough to revisit the first three games, SCEA Worldwide Studios Senior Vice President of Product Development Scott Rohde revealed in the latest episode of the PlayStation Blogcast that the collection will also include something very cool that he can’t yet talk about.
“There’s so much more that I wanna super-tease you guys about… You guys are gonna have me back on the podcast, correct? In the very near future hopefully, and we’ll do a whole different segment […]. Anyways, you guys are gonna have me back, and we can talk a lot more about the Nathan Drake collection in the very very near future, super-tease. There’s a lot more to come. […] There are buckets more to come. I’m not calling this a tease. It’s a super-tease.”
It looks like The Nathan Drake Collection will include something that will go down very well with fans, but what could it be? We already know the game will include beta access to Uncharted 4’s multiplayer, so it can’t be that. Is it possible the collection will also include Uncharted: Golden Abyss, the PS Vita exclusive released back in 2011? Whatever it is, we can’t wait to find out!
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is due to be released on October 7th.
