Square Enix has “No Concrete Plans” to Localize Dragon Quest XI

As usual, it will take years of begging before a DQ game comes west.

Just yesterday, Square Enix hosted a livestream for the Dragon Quest games, and fans were delighted to see that Dragon Quest XI was officially announced for the PS4, Nintendo 3DS, and potentially the NX as well. However, the game was only confirmed for a Japanese release and there was no news on whether the game would be coming to western territories.

The official Dragon Quest Twitter account sent out a couple of tweets today, stating that Square Enix currently has no plans to bring Dragon Quest XI to English-speaking territories.

Dragon Quest XI is set to be released for the PS4 and 3DS in Japan next year.
