Yesterday, Nintendo regretfully announced the passing of Satoru Iwata, President of Nintendo and inspiration of the gaming industry. At the age of 55, Iwata left the industry with his endless positivity and passion for innovation. Satoru Iwata championed game-changing projects, from the DS to the Wii, and was known for his approachability and pure gamer heart.
Today, as the world says goodbye to Iwata, a rainbow appeared over Nintendo headquarters in Kyoto, Japan. Twitter users @Kaorin1211 and @bakatetu2 posted photos today of what many fans have taken to call Iwata’s Rainbow Road to gamer heaven.
