Brace Yourself Games has taken to the PlayStation Blog to announce that they will be bringing their hit game Crypt of the Necrodancer to the PS4 and the PS Vita.
Crypt of the Necrodancer follows our heroine Cadence, who’s on a quest to find her missing father and the legendary golden lute. Her quest brought her to the Crypt of the Necrodancer, but after nearly dying because of a severe fall, she’s been cursed to dance her way through the Crypts til she defeats the Necrodancer and gets her heart back.
In order to survive in Crypt of the Necrodancer, players will have to learn when to move to the rhythm of each floor’s beat and to take advantages of each monster’s attack patterns. Players will also be able to find new weapons, armor and items to increase their combat capabilities and options.
Crypt of the Necrodancer also includes randomly generated dungeon layouts and multiple unlockable characters who each play differently. For example, her uncle Eli has unlimited bombs but can only attack with them and the Monk character dies if he picks up gold.
Crypt of the Necrodancer also features an award-winning soundtrack by Danny Baranowsky and the PS4 and the PS Vita versions will include new chiptune remixes by the person behind Shovel Knight’s soundtrack, Jake “Virt” Kaufman.
Unfortunately, Brace Yourself Games hasn’t announced a release date yet, but are you excited to hear that Crypt of the Necrodancer is coming to the PS4 and the PS Vita? Let us know in the comments section below.
