Next Need for Speed Details Coming Very Soon

Do you still have a need for speed?

EA have revealed that more news and a proper reveal of the latest title in the Need for Speed series is coming very very soon.

The reveal will be taking place on the Need for Speed YouTube page at an unknown time on the 21st May. If you want to check out the reveal on Thursday, just click here to reach the YouTube page.

Of course it comes as no shock to fans that EA have already got a new installment in the series prepared, following the absence of a release in 2014. The latest game in the series is expected to release this fall and it’d be highly unsurprising if we didn’t see more following the reveal on the 21st May in a few weeks time at E3. We may even get a release date, huzzah!

The teaser image found above gives the very basic details of the reveal and in the background you can very faintly see two cars racing alongside each other. With other people having seen these cars in the background, the power of the internet once again came into play and some editing began. The below image is an edited version of the teaser shown above.

Need for Speed

Now if you ask me that looks a hell of a lot like the cover of 2006’s Need for Speed: Carbon. We’ve included an image of that front cover below. Let us know if you’d agree. Although not what most fans of the series would be hoping for, a game following a similar style as Carbon would not go a miss, providing wannabe racers with an open world and plenty of options to customise.

Need for Speed

Though most fans will be praying that this will be Need for Speed: Undercover 3, I’m pretty sure any kind of return to the open world and huge car customisation options of the older games will be warmly welcomed by fans.
