Even though King can be classified as a long ranged fighter, he only deals the greatest damage when he’s close to enemies. Some really good damaging abilities you can get for him include Point-Blank Shot and Magazine Blast. Point-Blank Shot, as the name suggests, allows King to deal a massive amount of damage at an enemy with a bullet at the cost of some AG. Magazine Blast is another great damage dealer that has King unload an ammo cartridge and causes it to explode in your enemies’ faces. The only problem with these abilities is that they require King to get in close to his foes.
With his low defense stat, you’ll want to make sure that King’s good at evading attacks. Abilities such as Accelerate and Slipstream will work well with him. Also, slapping on Block or Avoid as his defensive spell will also help prevent him from taking too much damage.
If you’re not comfortable with putting King too close to the action, consider purchasing Hawkeye to give him some added range. This ability brings up crosshairs for King and allows you to snipe your enemies with more precision, keeping him out of harm’s way. Endless Waltz is another good skill to have as it allows King to fire bullets non-stop until his AG runs out. If you plan on using King from a distance, I’d suggest giving him Wall as a defensive spell instead of Block or Avoid. Letting him take cover behind a veil of protection would be far safer than having him slowly strafe around while shooting, and it also gives you ample time to start dodging when enemies start rushing towards you.
