The Guns
The Order: 1886 provides players with unique weaponry to use throughout the game. Such as the Arc Gun and Thermite Rifle, each of these come with different combat styles and attributes.
Throughout the different waves of enemies, players have the opportunity to select their preferred weapon of choice depending on what is dropped by enemies. From rifles to machine pistols, players will have to think fast as to what gun to use when running low on ammo. The environment is open for individual interpretation and it’s down to the players own unique style in deciding how they wish to approach a situation.
Players have a variety of options and can choose to either run in gun-blazing or take a more defensive approach with snipers and other rifles. The new weaponry introduced also dictates how the player engages with combat situations and may force a few out of their comfort zone for an added challenge. The science weapons themselves help to add a new twist to the cover shooter genre.
The Order: 1886 prides itself on a unique environment and setting, and although the combat areas may seem unoriginal, there is a lot of depth for individualistic playing styles and experimentation with different weapons.
