November 18th is coming and the Playstation Network will get a bit of upkeep ahead of perhaps gaming’s biggest launch day of the year (cue sinister laugh).
Dragon Age: Inquisition, Far Cry 4, the new-gen version of Grand Theft Auto V, Little Big Planet 3, the last-gen versions of Shawdow of Mordor and more hit store shelves and digital marketplaces across North America. Sony announced today in a blog post that the PSN will be down Monday, Nov. 17, from noon to 6 p.m. EST, when it “will deploy a series of back-end improvements.”
“If you’ve signed in to the network any time since November 13th, you will be able to play games online and access partner apps such as Netflix during this maintenance period. The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will not be available during this time, and users may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access these services.
“We thank you for your patience and support and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
PSN maintenance is always a pain for gamers but it’s a necessary evil and at least it’s getting done ahead of the mega-launch day. Is anyone else excited about Nov. 18, or is it too much to handle for one day? What game are you looking forward to most? Please discuss in the comments below.
