One-handed weapons offer players high mobility at the cost of range and damage. Parry speed varies from weapon to weapon, but these will generally offer the best choices in both countering attacks and initiating combat. If you find yourself getting caught in combat frequently, these will offer the best ability to contest multiple opponents simultaneously, giving you ease of movement between targets with your fast swing speeds.
Long weapons, are two-handed and sacrifice speed and parry ability for range and damage. Another wise choice for group combat, despite the difficulty in counters, the length these weapons offer can keep multiple opponents at a safe distance. So long as you don’t get surrounded in a team-fight, you can expect to deal significant damage, whittling down single-targets until all of your enemies have been defeated.
