Autumn is almost here, and soon the fall game releases rush will kick into overdrive. There are plenty of games on the way in the coming months, but among them all, there are three that aren’t receiving nearly as much attention as they ought to be. Here are just a few of these under-anticipated fall game releases.
For those of you who may not know, Sunset Overdrive is an open world, third person action game being developed by Insomniac Games exclusively for the Xbox One. Over the past couple of years, the industry has seen a plethora of games marked by dark tones and dim lighting. Sunset Overdrive, on the other hand, is probably the one of the brightest, most colorful games in recent memory existing outside of the Nintendo library.
More important than just about everything else, Sunset Overdrive is an incredibly zany, wacky game. One of the more prominent mechanics of the game involves grinding and moving off the ground. In essence, Sunset Overdrive wants you to move around, and move around in the most dynamic ways you can imagine.
The game boasts incredible and often-ridiculous weapons such as the Teddy Launcher, which fires cute exploding teddy bears at enemies. As cartoonishly violent as it is, Sunset Overdrive carries a deeply lighthearted style to it that has been sorely missed in the industry lately.
If you’re not excited for Sunset Overdrive, you owe it to yourself to give it a couple different looks and appreciate the raw element of fun and craziness it exudes.
