With PAX Prime right around the corner, Square Enix has released their planned lineup for the 2014 convention in Seattle. Three out of seven of their main showings will be mobile games, along with the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts titles that aren’t at the top of our anticipation list.
Musical rhythm game RPG Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix will be the RPG stars at Sqeenix’s booth, along with mobile titles, and recent releases, Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King and Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen.
In the Tomb Raider category, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, the sequel to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, will be at the Square Enix booth as well. Multiplayer action title Nosgoth and competitive mobile game Hitman: Sniper will also be available.
Hitman: Sniper tournaments will be held hourly in the Square Enix booth. The player with the highest score at the end of each day gets their high-score integrated into the final game with “a special elite treatment.”
Outside of the booth, Unity and Square Enix Montréal will be holding a Hitman: Sniper community event at the Hard Rock Café on Friday, August 29 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. One Grand Prize winner attendee will win a prize package, including the chance to have their custom 3D model added to the game as a villain.
