Word from Crytek, developers behind games like Ryse and Crysis, hasn’t been encouraging over the last few months. First they suffered a mass exodus of talent, and now reports are emerging that say the staff at Crytek’s UK studio, which is currently developing Homefront: The Revolution, have handed in letters of grievance and gone home. Initial estimates number the workers who left at 100, and it is unclear whether or not they wish to continue working for the beleaguered developer or not.
There are rumors that Crytek and Homefront: The Revolution publisher Deep Silver are in talks to discuss the future of the game and whether or not the publisher will purchase the studio to continue funding the game so that it sees the light of day.
We wish nothing for the best for all the Crytek employees and hope this has a quick and beneficial resolution.
