Gender became an explosive issue this E3. Fanning the flames of this very real issue were Ubisoft’s short-sighted comments regarding the lack of female characters in their entire entire line-up (including Assassin’s Creed Unity and Far Cry 4), to the androgynous Link in the new Legend of Zelda Wii U (Tentative title) trailer that threw the internet into a frenzy. That publishers assume their audience is solely male, to the fact that male-centric narratives are the most prominent, aren’t just limiting for player option, but limiting the narrative possibilities for video games as a whole.
Still that is an issue that deserves a more in-depth analysis and until then you can watch this quick, fun video that shows-off the amount of d**** on the E3 showfloor. Where is Nintendo in this montage? The clear winner in the inclusion race with their ability to see a future filled with squid-girls.
