Natsume has officially announced the next game in the Harvest Moon series and it’s innovating the series “in a way that no Harvest Moon game ever has.” 3DS game Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley will offer players a three dimensional experience, but for the first time will give players “a fully customizable world.”
While we don’t yet know the full extent of this customization, Natsume is making it sound fairly extensive. The press release mentions the option to fill a field with tulips or to include a valley filled with water. If players can indeed have full control over farm planning, this Harvest Moon game could maybe be as innovative as they claim. Even with a focus on bringing something new to the field, Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO of Natsume, claims that this new Harvest Moon game will also return back to the style of the earlier games Harvest Moon fans all adore.
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley will be releasing for 3DS later this year. The game will also be shown next week at E3, where hopefully we’ll see some more details on the innovation this title hopes to bring.
