After a successful Kickstarter last May that pulled in $248,358, developer Krillbite Studio has announced via the PlayStation Blog that Among the Sleep will be coming to the PlayStation 4. In case this is the first your hearing about it, Among the Sleep is a horror game that takes place through the eyes of a two year old. Things that may not be scary to us older people is extra frightening to the still very young main character.
Merging a child’s perception of reality with its wild imagination provides an interesting setting to tell a story. With only your teddy bear as a companion, we hope players will unravel what is actually causing the fear and confusion.
If that isn’t enough to catch your interest, Krillbite Studio also announced that they are “exploring” Sony’s unreleased Virtual Reality headset, Project Morpheus. While not a confirmation, it should be known that Krillbite Studio is already planning Oculus Rift support for the PC/Mac/Linux version, so VR is certainly on the mind.
There is no firm release date yet for Among the Sleep. So far the confirmed platforms are PC, Mac, Linux and of course now the PS4.
