Nintendo Brings Fitness Games to D.C. for White House Easter Egg Roll

Nintendo Brings Fitness Games to D.C. for White House Easter Egg Roll

Nintendo, along with the National Park Foundation, will be co-sponsoring this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll which will take place on Monday April 21st. Nintendo will be bringing along Wii Fit U and Wii Sports Club with them to the annual event where children hunt and race eggs with a spoon across the South Lawn of the White House.

You might be wondering what exactly those games have to do with easter egg rolling (no they aren’t Yoshi eggs). The White House Easter Egg Roll is part of first lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign, which encourages young children to stay active and eat healthier. A prime opportunity for Nintendo to show off some games that promote getting up off the couch and moving around.

The games will be playable at The Ellipse, a park located near the White House. Mario and Luigi are also expected to be in attendance but will likely be kept away from the eggs due to their uncontrollable urge to crack them open in search of dinosaurs.
