Update: Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will not be developed by High Moon Studios, the developer of Transformers: War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron. The game will be developed instead by Edge of Reality. Edge of Reality’s works include ports of popular franchises such as Mass Effect, The Sims, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, and original games like their recent Loadout. The 3DS version of the game will be developed by an entirely different studio, WayForward.

An announcement trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark has been released online. The trailer comes only a day after the game was listed by Amazon UK and subsequently taken down. The game’s developer is unmentioned but the trailer includes the logos for Activision, Hasbro Gaming, and Paramount Studios. There is no other indication of whether the game will be a movie tie-in for the upcoming film or a sequel to High Moon’s Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (2012).
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is due for release in 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, 3DS, and PC.
