The upcoming PC title LEGO Minifigures Online is now accepting applicants for their phase driven closed beta. LEGO Minifigures Online is exactly what it sounds like: an online game in the style of recent Lego console games, built around exploring, building, and collecting minifigures in the Lego universe. What more could you ask for? Just check out the trailer on the registration page: this game looks awesome. The first phase opens up soon (‘Early November 2013’), so get over to the website to register right now. Players will be selected and notified per phase. Even if you don’t make it into the closed beta, Funcom says there will be an open beta prior to release and all beta applicants will be eligible to access it.
I put my registration in before even writing this and I’m not even a little ashamed. Even if I weren’t a long time fan of lego games (LEGO Island 2: GOTY, every year), this Online game looks crazy rad. Sure it may be targeted at kids about half my age, but you’re talking to the girl who played Disney’s Toontown well into Junior High.
