New conference? Awesome! Count us… out? Valve recently announced that they were going to hold what they’ve branded the Steam Dev Days conference in Seattle, Washington in January 2014. The conference is only for developers (no media allowed whatsoever) and is meant to be a place to share ideas and thoughts in a more relaxed “off-the-record” environment.
Among the events will be lectures, with topics ranging from video game economies to virtual reality. Attendees will also be able to try the new SteamOS, Steam Machine prototypes, and the Steam controller. Any developers wanting to attend will have to pay $95 and register through a special website.
