Ken Levine, co-founder and creative director of Irrational Games, will be receiving a lifetime achievement award this week at the Golden Joystick Awards. This is the first time in its 31 year history that the event will honor an individual for their lifetime’s work. Levine, who is writing a screenplay based on Logan’s Run for Warner Bros., has headed the creation of some of the most critically acclaimed games, such as System Shock 2, Bioshock, and Bioshock Infinite. It’s good to see one of the great world creators get their work appreciated this way, but hopefully this award is just a stepping stone for him to create bigger and better games.
The Golden Joystick Awards will be held in London, England, at the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel this Friday, October 25.
