Customization Options in The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot's Latest Trailer

Yesterday, Ubisoft released a new trailer for The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, the upcoming free-to-play action game for the PC. Set in the medieval kingdom of Opulencia, players attempt to build impenetrable castles (to protect their treasure, obviously), while simultaneously trying to breach and pillage other players’ similarly fortified castles. There are four playable characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses: Sir Painhammer (the Knight), Blackeye Bogart (the Archer), the Earl of Evilosity (the Mage), and the recently announced Runaway, a fleet-footed, axe-wielding former-debutante who cast aside her old life in search of adventure.

In the latest trailer, Cornelius Richling, the “premiere talent agent” of Opulencia, advertises some of the customization options featured in the game, including various castle themes and a wide range of, I’m not even joking, headgear. Hats. Virtual hats. Gotta-catch-em-all, collectable hats. Anyone else seeing the not-so-subtle nod to Valve’s Team Fortress 2? Perhaps The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is trying to become the new “#1 war-themed hat simulator.”

Anyway, the trailer’s pretty funny (although, I must say, not as funny as TF2’s “Meet the Team” videos, and that’s clearly the vibe Ubisoft’s going for). If you are interested in signing up for the free beta, you can do so here.
