Sylvester Stallone has played a ton of action heroes during his time. One of the most popular has to be John Rambo. The Vietnam vet with the caring heart covered by mountains of muscle and dirt, hasn’t had a legitimate console game release since Rambo III on the Sega Mega Drive in 1989. All that changed when Rambo The Video Game was announced yesterday.
It looks to be following the storyline of the classic movies, so trips through the Pacific Northwest, Vietnam, and Afghanistan seem to be in order. Rambo’s signature explosive arrows will be there along with his stalking/hunting/guerrilla tactic of slathering mud all over his body to hide in the bush. The trailer even shows off his bitchin’ 80s hair and red rag headband. While Far Cry 3 was a very well crafted Rambo game, Rambo The Video Game looks horrible in the best way possible and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
Xbox 360, PS3, and PC gamers should prepare to hunt and kill small town sheriff departments, Viet Cong, and Soviet soldiers this winter.
